Reactor Face Shield
Silflex patented reactor face shield for CANDU nuclear reactor shielding is designed to install over the end fittings at the reactor face to limit personnel dose during outages.
Installing in seconds, our tungsten shielding material at a 1" thickness has allowed for a 30-40% general area dose reduction on Co-60. The reactor face shield has been optimized through several iterations within Canada with rounded edges and is available with or without the tie-off strap.
